800. alex I just read a few comments accusing religion and islam as to the cause of honour killings in kurdistand.I have an arab friend who was almost a victim of honour killing because she had been to a cafe with a male work colleague to discuss work related issues.She is a devout christian.Du a from Mosul who was stripped and stoned in Mosul last month was a Kurd Yezidi.Where did Islam come into it?And if Islam is indeed to blamed,all it did was awaken demons that already lay dormat in certain peoples barbaric mindset.Funny that this religion only evoked the passion of 'Honour crimes'against women.'Honour crimes'are commited because for eons it has been dinned into us that a woman is inferior and dare she to raise her head or voice it shall be chopped off!!! Those societies and families that condone and perform these acts are scared,corrupt,criminal in mind,twisted,and downright sick!!!It has nothing or very little to do with religion.
Não estou a defender a religião muçulmana - mas subscrevo o que aqui está dito.
Enquanto não formos mais fundo, às raízes das questões, elas brotam em novas casacas e facetas, mas voltarão sempre.
E a maioria das pessoas que será contra estes horrores, fica-se por aí...não se interessa pelas raízes da questão.
